This Must Stop and It Starts With Black Panther 2

For too long white people have been getting away with this. From using black face to not casting us in movies. To making big Hollywood movies about our history. We are going to use Black Panther as an example. This is the history of Black Panther, this is white people at their finest.

If you look up the Black Panther comic it will say July 1966. If you look at the Black Panther Party it will say October 1966. This makes it seem that the Black Panther Party idea was from the comic. During this time black people were fighting for civil rights and for the protection of their family.

It doesn’t take that much research to find that the Black Panther Party was officially started in 1965. The Lowndes County Freedom Organization (LCFO) also known as the Black Panthers was started by Stokely Carmichael. The name was said in 1964. The movement spread all over the nation.

This is what lead to Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale to ask Stokely if they could use the emblem for their party in California. The rest is history these two brothers along with the of many others organized many social programs to help our people. The feeding program for the children alone is enough to wear the symbol with pride.

When marvel was called out on this, they always used the we came first narrative. Then more proof came out about the Black Panther party beginning was around 1964 they tried to change his name. In the 1972 Fantastic Four comic #119 they changed his name to the Black Jaguar. This was very short lived, they changed the name back when they realized that the attachment to the Black Party name would benefit them.

Now let is fast forward from 1966 to 2021, that is 55 years. It is math time ladies and gentlemen brace yourself. In 55 years of Black Panther franchise Marvel/Disney made over 3 billion dollars. This is from the movie, comics, DVD sales, toys, clothing, video games and more. I want you to guess how much black people made from all of this. This number includes the employees who help on writing the comics and designing merchandise.

Drum roll please……………. 20 million dollars and that is me rounding up. This includes the movie that made 2 billion dollars in total sales from the movie to merchandise. The total cast of the movie made around 15 million. Remember the move cost 200 million in production fees. So, this equals to 1.5 billion in total profit after the designing and the cost of the Chinese made items.

Black people it is time for this to stop this. No longer can white people profit off our pain and history in this nation without us getting the majority if not all. It time for us to demand our rightful cut and it should start with Black Panther 2. You know this movie will make billions and we will once again get around 10% of the money made (from the small raises in salary).
